Tricky Ventilation Installation at Ricky School

Summer holidays again and whilst the children and staff from Rickmansworth School in Hertfordshire were looking forward to their annual break to hotter climates; we were concentrating on cooling things down a bit in their kitchen.

The school commissioned C&S direct to install a new supply and extract system canopy above the cooking area in the school kitchen. With limited head room and space for plant; a lot of time and effort went into the design of the system with plant needing to be located outside to free up space within the kitchen.

Whilst the canopy installation was going on we also upgraded the kitchens domestic hot water with the installation of a new gas fired hot water generator and carried out adaptations to the gas supplies to the ovens incorporating an emergency shut off valve which inter-links with the canopy extract system to conform to the new regulations.

With the power supplies to the canopy and the new lighting installation and decorations for that final finish; all went extremely well with works completed in good time ready for the new term.
