Bathroom refurbishments - Working in this secure environment at the Maudsley Hospital we refurbished block after block of secure bathrooms. Every aspect of these rooms is specialised, with corian wall coverings, safer cell  shower and basin units, reinforced suspended ceilings and anti-ligature doors and door furniture.
We utilised our transferable skills and created a process to utilise materials we knew well from retail and food and beverage projects, which were perfectly suited to the needs of this project, for example the use of corian. By utilising our specialist manufacturing processes we ensured all internal and external corners are formed with corian with no sharp edges or gaping joints.
Once all the off site corian fabrication has been completed it is delivered to site and fitted, cutting down the time on site, thus reducing the inconvenience to this essential facility.

Seclusion Rooms are one of our specialisms, with all aspects being bespoke.

With corian clad walls and bespoke joinery and with all doors and frames being oversized, safety and longevity were key to this project. The toilets and wash hand basins are all safer cell packages, with timed operations and water shut off remotes to deny the occupant of the room access to it. The air conditioning is up rated so that the room cools rapidly if required.  There are technical challenges to working in a secure environment, involving access and egress, the utilisation of tools and equipment, as well as the special finishes required to keep patients and staff safe.

We are very aware that all such projects must take place with the knowledge that safety and security takes first priority.
